The brief

With over 42% of its customers located internationally The Planet undertook an evaluation to find the markets of most strategic importance to its customers. Extending to Europe was at the forefront of these discussions, but rather than outlay a considerable investment to build its own data centre, The Planet decided to use TelecityGroup’s Powergate data centre and resilient connectivity to deliver virtualised services to its customers.

The result

The Planet selected TelecityGroup’s new highly resilient and secure Powergate data centre to provide colocation and connectivity for its first European data centre, located in London. The move is part of a global expansion and continued investment in The Planet’s data centre network, to ensure it provides a global redundant infrastructure to meet customer demand
