Maurice Mortell
Managing Director, Ireland

Maurice Mortell was appointed Managing Director, Ireland of TelecityGroup in 2011, after the acquisition of Data Electronics by TelecityGroup plc.   

Maurice was CEO of Data Electronics for 10 years, having worked in a number of senior management positions within the company since 1991. With over 20 years experience in the technology sector, Maurice is highly regarded as a specialist in IT service capabilities and is a regular speaker on topical thought leadership issues including Ireland’s Innovation Taskforce (Digital 21) & the Green Economy. 

During his leadership tenure, Maurice has managed the expansion of the business, focussing on growing new business both in Ireland and internationally. He continues to play a key role in the planning and development of the new data centre at Northwest Business Park, Dublin.

As a graduate of Business Studies from the College of Commerce, Maurice is now a member of the Telecommunications Information Federation Committee (TIF), and is actively involved in the TIF Green Technology Industry Group.   He is on the board of the Irish Internet Association and is a former chairman of the Outsourced Services Group within IBEC.
