Internet exchanges
Our data centres host Internet exchange points to give access to multiple ISPs and reduce costs
Our data centres host the key national Internet exchange points (IXP). They allow competing networks to interconnect and exchange Internet traffic at national and international level with speed and efficiency at a significant reduction to transit costs.
Internet exchange points (IXPs)
Amsterdam: AMS-IX and NL-ix; London: LINX and LoNAP; Frankfurt: DE-CIX; Paris: FreeIX, PANAP, SFINX, France IX and FNIXv6; Stockholm: Netnod; Dublin: INEX; Manchester: IX Manchester; Milan: MIX.
Reduce costs
Peering helps reduce upstream costs for content providers and ISPs, and a single connection to an IXP may reduce the need for multiple transit connections. Once located in any of our data centres you can connect directly to any of these Internet exchanges through our managed Ethernet network or take advantage of our IPMH service which includes peering with all of the IXP’s which we host.
